Make crispy corned beef hash quickly in your air fryer. This recipe focuses on achieving perfectly browned and crisp potatoes alongside savory corned beef.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound pre-cooked corned beef hash, broken up
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of salt (optional, as hash is often salty)
  • 4 large eggs (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the broken-up corned beef hash with olive oil, diced onion, garlic powder, and pepper.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius) for 3 minutes.
  3. Place the hash mixture into the air fryer basket in a single layer if possible; work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding, which prevents crisping.
  4. Air fry for 10 minutes.
  5. Open the basket, shake well to redistribute the hash, and continue cooking for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.
  6. While the hash finishes, cook your eggs to your preference (fried or poached work well).
  7. Serve the crispy air fryer corned beef hash immediately topped with a cooked egg.

Notes

  • For extra crispy potatoes, ensure the hash is not packed too tightly in the basket.
  • If using homemade hash, ensure the potatoes are cut small (about 1/2 inch cubes) before mixing.
  • You can add a dash of Worcestershire sauce for deeper flavor before air frying.
