- 1 bag (about 28 ounces) frozen tater tots
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking spray
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the frozen tater tots in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Lightly spray the tots with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10 minutes.
- While the tots cook, mix the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper in a small bowl to create the seasoning mix.
- Carefully pull out the basket and shake the tots well.
- Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the hot tots from the air fryer and immediately place them in a medium bowl.
- Sprinkle the garlic parmesan seasoning mix over the hot tots and toss gently until they are evenly coated.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not thaw the tater tots before cooking; start with them frozen for the best crispiness.
- For extra crispiness, ensure the tots are in a single layer in the basket; do not stack them.
- Toss with the seasoning immediately after cooking so the residual heat helps the cheese adhere.
