Ingredients
Scale
1 pound bulk pork sausage
2 cups Bisquick baking mix
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the bulk pork sausage, Bisquick baking mix, and shredded cheddar cheese.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until they are just combined. Do not overmix.
Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the pan before serving warm.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature cheese.
You can prepare the dough ahead of time, cover it, and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before rolling and baking.
These sausage balls freeze well after baking; cool them completely, place them in a freezer-safe bag, and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a 350 degree oven until warmed through.
