Make this quick, flavorful One-Pan Honey Garlic Chicken and Green Beans Skillet for an easy weeknight dinner. It cooks fast and cleanup is minimal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken pieces lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the trimmed green beans to the same skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 4-5 minutes until they become bright green and slightly tender-crisp.
  4. While the beans cook, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl to create the sauce.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet with the green beans. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and beans.
  6. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats everything evenly.
  7. Remove from heat immediately. Serve your **easy chicken and green beans dinner** hot.

Notes

  • For a **keto chicken and green beans** variation, substitute the honey with a keto-friendly sweetener like erythritol or monk fruit blend, adjusting sweetness to your preference.
  • If you prefer using chicken thighs, adjust the cooking time slightly to ensure they reach a safe internal temperature.
  • This recipe is perfect for a **low carb chicken dinner** when served on its own.
