Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless pork chops (about 3/4 inch thick)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Pat the pork chops completely dry using paper towels. This helps achieve crispiness.
In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Season both sides of the pork chops with this mix.
Set up a breading station: place flour in one shallow dish, beaten eggs in a second, and panko breadcrumbs in a third.
Dredge each pork chop first in the flour, shaking off excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off. Finally, press the chop firmly into the panko breadcrumbs to coat completely.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the breaded pork chops in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding. You may need to cook in batches.
Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping the chops halfway through the cooking time, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the crust is golden brown and crispy.
While the chops finish cooking, prepare the garlic butter. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
Once cooked, transfer the crispy pork chops to a serving plate. Spoon the warm garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each chop.
Notes
For the best crispiness, ensure your pork chops are not too thick; 3/4 inch works well for this method.
Do not skip preheating the air fryer; a hot basket helps the crust set immediately.
If you prefer a juicier result, remove the chops when they reach 140°F and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving; the temperature will rise to 145°F.
