Ingredients
Scale
1 pound shelf-stable potato gnocchi
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook for one minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
Add the gnocchi to the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gnocchi start to lightly brown on the edges.
Pour in the broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Let the sauce thicken slightly, about 3 minutes.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
Stir in the fresh parsley before serving immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use fresh gnocchi instead of shelf-stable varieties.
If you prefer a thinner sauce, add a splash more broth or cream at the end.
You can add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes during step 5 for extra vegetables.
