- 2 English Muffins, split
- 4 tablespoons Pizza Sauce or Marinara Sauce
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, sliced mushrooms, bell peppers)
- 1 teaspoon Olive Oil (optional, for crispier edges)
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the split English muffins cut-side up on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.
- If using olive oil, lightly brush the edges of the muffins.
- Spread 2 tablespoons of sauce evenly over the cut side of each muffin half.
- Top each half generously with mozzarella cheese.
- Add your desired toppings over the cheese.
- For Oven/Toaster Oven: Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are lightly browned.
- For Air Fryer: Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, checking frequently, until the cheese is melted and the muffin is toasted.
- Remove from the heat and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a crispier base, lightly toast the muffin halves for 2 minutes before adding sauce and toppings.
- You can use pesto or barbecue sauce instead of tomato sauce for different flavors.
- These freeze well: assemble completely, wrap individually, and freeze. Bake from frozen at 400°F for about 12-15 minutes.
