Make a cafe-style Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Latte at home using a simple homemade brown sugar syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or cold brew concentrate
  • 1 cup oat milk (full-fat recommended)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Make the syrup: Combine brown sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Do not boil. Remove from heat and let cool. This makes extra syrup.
  2. Brew your coffee strong or use cold brew concentrate. Let it cool slightly if hot.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour 2 tablespoons of the cooled brown sugar syrup over the ice. Adjust amount to your preferred sweetness.
  5. Pour the cooled coffee or cold brew over the syrup and ice.
  6. Top with 1 cup of oat milk.
  7. Stir well before drinking.

Notes

  • For the best texture, use a full-fat or barista-style oat milk.
  • You can store leftover brown sugar syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • If you use hot coffee, chill it quickly before assembling the drink to prevent excessive ice melting.
