1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Pinch of salt and black pepper
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese and sour cream into a medium mixing bowl.
Use an electric mixer or a sturdy spoon to beat the mixture until it is completely smooth and creamy.
Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the base.
Taste the dip and add salt and pepper as needed.
Cover the bowl and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve cold with your choice of tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks.
Notes
For a richer flavor, substitute half of the sour cream with mayonnaise.
You can prepare this dip up to 24 hours ahead of time; keep it covered in the refrigerator.
If you want a little crunch, stir in 1/4 cup of finely chopped toasted pecans or almonds just before serving.
