Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, combine the crumbled bacon and shredded Gruyere cheese. Distribute this mixture evenly among the prepared muffin cups.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese in each muffin cup, filling them about two-thirds full.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the chopped onion, flour, and melted butter to create a crumb topping. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the quiches.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the quiches are set and lightly golden brown.
  7. Let the mini quiches cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before carefully removing them.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can use half-and-half instead of milk.
