Make this simple, crunchy pecan pie bark using only five ingredients. It is a quick, no-bake treat perfect for holiday platters or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sleeve (about 9 full sheets) graham crackers
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup pecan halves, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing the paper to overhang the sides for easy removal.
  2. Arrange the graham crackers in a single layer on the bottom of the prepared pan. Break crackers if necessary to cover the bottom completely.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar and butter. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves. Bring the mixture to a boil and continue boiling for exactly 2 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat immediately. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the hot sugar mixture evenly over the graham crackers in the pan.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the wet topping.
  7. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the bark is completely firm.
  8. Once firm, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bark out of the pan. Break the bark into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use pecans that you toast lightly in a dry skillet before chopping and adding them to the bark.
  • If you prefer a smoother topping, you can melt 1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and drizzle it over the bark after it has set, then chill again briefly.
