Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 ounces smoked salmon, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1/4 cup red onion, finely minced
1 tablespoon capers, drained and chopped
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Pinch of salt
Crackers, bagel chips, or vegetable sticks for serving
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl.
Add the chopped smoked salmon, dill, lemon juice, horseradish, minced red onion, capers, black pepper, and salt to the bowl.
Use a fork or an electric mixer on low speed to combine all ingredients until the mixture is smooth and well blended. Do not overmix.
Taste the dip and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more lemon juice or pepper for your preference.
Cover the bowl and chill the smoked salmon dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve your dip cold with crackers, bagel chips, or fresh vegetable sticks.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use high-quality cold-smoked salmon.
If you are making this ahead of time, wait to add the fresh dill until just before serving to keep the color bright.
Serve this dip alongside toasted baguette slices for an elegant smoked salmon crostini experience.
